Actuators and Valves

  • Actuator:
The motorized drive that physically moves and positions dampers or valves.

  • Valve:
Mechanical body regulating liquid or steam flow via internal components.

Actuator
Actuator is the muscle behind the motorized damper. It receives a low-voltage signal from the controller and converts that electrical energy into mechanical rotary or linear motion to physically open, close, or modulate the damper blades.

Valve
A valve is a mechanical device that controls the flow and pressure of fluids (liquids, gases, or slurries) within a system or process by opening, closing, or partially obstructing passageways. Core functions include starting and stopping flow, throttling the amount of flow, and preventing backflow.
